NOTE: If your school or district is sponsoring your registration fee and cannot remit payment at the time of registration, please attach a note to your registration form with all necessary details and contact information
Emergency Medical Forms MUST be submitted by no later than 30 days prior to the start of the program.
Teachers’ Shakespeare Institutes:
Workshops geared toward educators in any field who wish to learn vital theatrical skills that will enable students to meet and exceed the Common Core Learning Standards. The program is divided into two institutes offered in the winter and summer and is intended to be taken as a whole; you may enroll for the institutes individually.
The Winter Institute: Engaging and Exploring the Drama
Friday, January 18th – Saturday, January 19th
Our 2013 Winter Institutes will focus on engaging students and exploring Shakespeare’s texts through experiential learning workshops that focus on language, physical expression and creative writing. This two-day workshop will address the many challenges associated with Shakespeare’s language. Taught by professional directors, actors, playwrights and scholars, these workshops help teachers analyze and interpret complex language with an eye toward making it active and accessible for students. Through the knowledge gained, teachers will empower students to work collaboratively, develop personal connections, interpret text, and express creative ideas while building confidence.
All workshop sessions will address the New York State Common Core Standards for English Language Arts grades 6 – 12.
The Summer Institute: Exercising and Experiencing the Drama (More information coming soon!)

Cost: $600 for the program, $350 for individual Institute
Time: 10:00am – 5:00 pm daily
