Katharine Abbruzzese
Kate, Lychorida
Katharine is a recent graduate of Vassar College, where she earned a B.A. in Drama and played Tilly (Melancholy Play), Tranio (The Taming of the Shrew), Zillah (A Bright Room Called Day), Lady Bracknell (The Importance of Being Earnest), and Lady Macbeth (Macbeth). She received additional training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (where she played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet) and at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA. This year she had her New York City debut as Adella in The Marriages and also played Missy Walker in John Christian Plummer's new play, Rendition in Damascus. She is overjoyed to be back for her second summer at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival. Huge thanks to her parents, teachers, family, and friends, and to Mr. J for his support and love.
