Since performing the title role in last season’s Cymbeline, Stephen has appeared as Marc in Art at Albany’s Capital Repertory Theater, and as the Monseigneur de la Trémouille and Canon de Courcelles in the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis’ production of George Bernard Shaw’s Saint Joan. In eleven seasons with HVSF he has performed the roles of Shylock, Prospero, Titus Andronicus, Angelo, Banquo, Malvolio, Parolles, and Dogberry, among many others. From 2003 to 2008 he appeared as Lt. Schrank in two different world tours of West Side Story. Other U.S. regional stage credits include: Good with William Hurt (American Conservatory Theater, San Francisco, CA); A Skull in Connemara (Denver Center Theatre Company); The Comedy of Errors (Oregon Shakespeare Festival); Coriolanus (The Shakespeare Theatre, Washington, D.C.); The Royal Family, Julius Caesar, The Sisters Rosenzweig, and Black Coffee (Asolo Repertory Theatre, Sarasota, FL); The Taming of the Shrew and Diva (Delaware Theatre Company, Wilmington); and The Taming of the Shrew (Pioneer Theatre Company, Salt Lake City, UT); as well as six years as artist-in-residence at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, Santa Maria, CA.  Television appearances include Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU.
