Vivian Shannon

Vivian joined the HVSF Board of Directors in 2011 and currently serves as the director of capital campaign at the West Point Association of Graduates Development Office, overseeing a $350M private fundraising campaign for the United States Military Academy at West Point. In this role, she is responsible for planning, managing, and executing all aspects of the WPAOG’s comprehensive capital campaign. Previously, she was the assistant director of class and annual giving at WPAOG. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington and she also holds a professional certificate in Fundraising Management, also from the University of Washington. Vivian also serves as a West Point admissions representative for the state of Washington. She is the recipient of the Department of the Army Patriotic Civilian Service Award. Vivian has been an Army wife for over 20 years. Her husband COL Joe Shannon is a permanent Academy professor of chemistry at West Point and they have four children, Ryan, Sky, Lindsey, and Sydney. She and her family reside on West Point.  They are avid HVSF fans and also enjoy Broadway and other theatrical and musical activities.
