Kurt RhoadsDirector, The Taming of the Shrew

Kurt has acted and directed at HVSF for 15 seasons.  Last season he was seen in Pericles and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). This past fall he and Nance Williamson performed in Shooting Star, a new play by Steven Dietz, at Trinity Repertory Theatre in Providence.  In the winter, he played Thomas More in A Man for All Seasons at Colorado's Arvada Center for the Arts.  Most recently he appeared in Love Song, a new play by John Kolvenbach, at Hudson Stage Co. in Briarcliff Manor.  Other directing credits include: As You Like It, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Comedy of Errors, all at HVSF; Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo and Juliet at Westchester Community College.  Kurt has worked on Broadway in Julius Caesar. Regionally, Kurt has worked at Arena Stage, Shakespeare Theatre, Old Globe Theatre, Denver Center Theatre, Chautauqua Theatre Co.  He has traveled to Australia, Scotland, and the Netherlands with the plays Captain Overlord's Folly and Horse Country. Shrew marks the 56th play that he and Nance Williamson have worked on together.  He lives in Garrison and raises a few chickens.
