Semra Ercin joined HVSF in 2021, moving to the Hudson Valley after over 20 years in New York City. As the Director of Development, she is responsible for planning and executing HVSF’s individual, institutional, corporate, and government fundraising initiatives, as well as cultivation events and strategic partnerships. Most recently, Semra was the Director of Development at Brooklyn Children’s Museum, leading the development team in growth across all sectors, including large capital campaigns. In addition, she brings over 15 years of experience in non-profit arts and cultural fundraising, administration, and event planning from organizations such as Brooklyn Academy of Music, Brooklyn Music School, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Princeton Club of New York, among others. She earned her undergraduate degree from Georgia State University and her Master’s in Public Administration from Baruch College, with honors. She enjoys attending theater and live performances, spending time with her three children, and playing the drums in several bands.
