Hudson Valley Shakespeare is a must-visit cultural destination for FITs and groups alike. Groups of 10+ enjoy discounted tickets, plus options for food and drink packages, private event space, theater tours, and exclusive Q&As with cast and creative teams—all with ample on-site parking for an easy and memorable visit.
ON THE DAY
Hudson Valley Shakespeare is open two hours before the performance, giving you plenty of time to explore our grounds, dine with us, or socialize with friends and enjoy a picnic on the lawns.

Traveling to Hudson Valley Shakespeare
A complimentary shuttle is available between the theater’s campus and the Garrison Train Station on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for audience members who make the journey by train on Metro North. We offer a return shuttle journey to Garrison Train Station after the performance.
Dining at Hudson Valley Shakespeare
For many, a picnic on the grounds is a quintessential part of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare summer experience. You’re welcome to bring your own picnic, or you can pre-order one here [link to picnic items] which you can pick up when you arrive.
Alternatively, our on-site restaurant FOLIO offers seated dining with exceptional views from its outdoor terrace, or for those who prefer to dine in the great indoors.
How Do I Pick Up My Tickets?
As part of our on-going commitment to being green-forward, digital e-tickets are distributed for all performances and are emailed to you at the time of purchase. Simply show the QR code in your email to our ushers will scan your tickets directly from your phone. If you provide us with your cell phone number, you will be re-issued a convenient link to our tickets via text message the day of the performance.
Alternatively, you can print these off and present them to our front-of-house team for scanning. Or, if you'd prefer to pick your tickets up, you can select "will call" at the time of purchase and visit Guest Services to pick up actual tickets beginning two hours prior to the performance.
Golf Cart Assistance
If you need assistance traversing the site and would like to utilize our on-site golf cart services between the restaurant to the Scripps Theater Center, please contact Guest Services in advance of our visit to arrange at 845.265.9575 or boxoffice@hvshakespeare.org
Late Seating
Seating begins approximately 30 minutes before the start of the performance., When it is time to take your seats in the auditorium, you will hear our Front-of-House sound bells to notify you that seating has started. They will continue to remind audience members intermittently at 15 minutes, five minutes, and three minutes before the start of the performance.
Late seating is at the discretion of the Guest Services Manager. Our performances utilize the whole theater, so for the safety of the actors and to ensure minimum disruption to the performance and other audiences members, if you arrive late we cannot guarantee that we will be able to sit in your purchased seat until after intermission.
Intermission
Our performances have a 10 minute intermission. You can find the runtimes and estimated interval time on our performance schedule. The theater’s bar will be open for drinks and concessions prior to the performance and during intermission. For your convenience, we encourage you to pre-order drinks. You can do this online or can be ordered at concessions in-person prior to the performance.
Pre-Show Programming
HVS offers a series of free enrichment talks, conversations and music programming on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays before the performance.
