We have another season of extraordinary theater lined up for you this summer. We can’t wait to share them all with you.

In 2026, we invite you to journey through the sparkling wit and romance of As You Like It, the shattering power and humanity of King Lear, and the sweeping passion and resilience of Les Misérables.

Thinking about coming this year? Digital e-tickets are distributed for all performances and are emailed to you at the time of purchase. If you provide us with your cell phone number, you will be re-issued a convenient link to our tickets via text message the day of the performance.Tickets will be scanned at the venue directly from your phone. Alternatively, you can print these off and present them to our front-of-house team for scanning.

On The Day

Arrival

Hudson Valley Shakespeare is open two hours before the performance, giving you plenty of time to explore our grounds, dine with us, or socialize with friends and enjoy a picnic on the lawns.

Pre-show Programming

HVS offers a series of free enrichment talks, conversations and music programming on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays before the performance. We encourage you to check out our calendar for specific dates and more information.

Traveling to Hudson Valley Shakespeare

A complimentary shuttle is available between the theater’s campus and the Garrison Train Station on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for audience members who make the journey by train on Metro North. We offer a return shuttle journey to Garrison Train Station after the performance. Visit getting here for directions if visiting by car or for more information on the shuttle.

Golf Cart Assistance

If you need assistance traversing the site and would like to utilize our on-site golf cart services between the restaurant to the Scripps Theater Center, please contact Guest Services in advance of our visit to arrange on 845.265.9575 or email boxoffice@hvshakespeare.org.

Performance

Seating begins approximately 30 minutes before the start of the performance., When it is time to take your seats in the auditorium, you will hear our Front-of-House team ring bells/triangle. The bells sound when seating begins, then intermittently 15 minutes, five minutes, and three minutes before the start of the performance.

Interval

Our performances have a 10 minute interval. You can find the runtimes and estimated  interval time on our performance schedule. The theater’s bar will be open for drinks and concessions prior to the performance and during intermission.  For your convenience, we encourage you to pre-order drinks. You can do this online [link to page] or can be ordered on-site before the performance begins.

Leaving Hudson Valley Shakespeare

The audience coach service departs from the coach park around 20 minutes after the end of the performance. 

Dog Policy

Pets, including dogs, are not permitted anywhere on HVS’s grounds during its hours of operation, with the exception of assistance animals. For the safety and wellbeing of animals, we kindly ask that you do not bring pets with you when visiting HVS and under no circumstances leave them in vehicles during your visit.  Please note that HVS cannot accept responsibility if the police are contacted by employees or audience members, or if action is taken to release an animal from a vehicle.

HVS reserves the right to refuse entry to dogs or during an event if they do not meet the criteria for assistance animals.  For more information about assistance animals and access, please see here.

Food & Drink

For many, a picnic on the grounds is a quintessential part of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare summer experience. You’re welcome to bring your own picnic, or you can pre-order one here which you can pick up when you arrive.
