With the help of a community design/build team, HVSF is building the set, props, masks, and puppets for our upcoming production of RIP VAN WINKLE from found, recycled, and repurposed materials.
Give your old things a new life by donating them to HVSF’s RIP VAN WINKLE Community Object Drive! Please note, objects that are donated may be altered, and will not be returned.
Items that we’re seeking include:
- old wooden chairs. Wooden seats, rush seats, or cane seats all ok!
- old long-handled farm implements and garden tools like hoes, rakes, etc.
- long lengths of large diameter natural rope
- wooden oars or paddles
- small twigs or branches
- dried flowers
- wooden kitchen implements, like spoons, tongs
- vintage flour sacks
- old hand egg beater or whisk
- knives, cleavers
- bones
- silver spoons and forks
- tea cups and silver tea accessories

- ear trumpet
- lorgnette or monocle
- silver candle sticks
- wooden bench
- beer steins (pewter or clay/ceramic both ok)

- a round stool
