Stephen Paul Johnson* will join HVSF’s 2018 company, filling the roles of John of Gaunt (RICHARD II) and Gremio (THE TAMING OF THE SHREW). Beginning Tuesday, July 31, Johnson will return for his nineteenth season under the Theater Tent, where roles have included King Lear, Prospero, Shylock, Titus Andronicus, and 42 others! In 2017, Festival audiences saw him as Richard Burbage/Ben Jonson in Lauren Gunderson’s THE BOOK OF WILL, and as Malvolio in TWELFTH NIGHT.
Johnson steps in for Triney Sandoval*, who will depart to take up the role of Francois in Roundabout Theatre Company’s Bernhardt/Hamlet helmed by Mortiz von Stuelpnagel, director of HVSF’s 2017 production of TWELFTH NIGHT.
