Kurt, Pericles II
This is Kurt’s 14th year at the Festival. Some highlights: Directed As You Like It, Two Gentlemen of Verona, and The Comedy of Errors. Favorite roles include: Antony, Macbeth, Petruchio, Benedick, Leontes, Duke in Measure for Measure, Aguecheek and Tartuffe. Last summer Kurt played Mark Antony in Julius Caesar and Antony and Cleopatra at the Shakespeare Theatre in D.C., then went to Chautauqua Theater Company to perform in Variations on a Theme, by Anna Ziegler. Kurt then performed at the Edinburgh International Festival as the title role in Captain Overlord’s Folly. In the fall he directed Much Ado About Nothing at Westchester Community College and most recently played Clarence and Tyrell in Richard III at Denver Center Theatre Company. Kurt and Nance Williamson have performed in 54 plays together. In the fall they will appear at Trinity Repertory in Providence, RI, in Shooting Star, a new two-hander by Steven Dietz.
