Picnics are a staple of the theater-going experience at HVS. We invite you to take time to slow down, share good food with good company in our beautiful natural surroundings before seeing an unforgettable performance under the tent. To make your visit the best it can be, we offer a wide array of eating and dining options to simplify your planning and get straight to the fun!
Whatever you’re in the mood for, we’ve got you covered with prepared picnics, seated dining at Valley Restaurant, and Grab & Go items from the Concessions Tent.
PICNIC FROM ARDEN’S TABLE
Available for performances Wednesdays through Saturdays, with some exceptions.
Pre-pay for this one-of-a-kind sustainable & delectable picnic experience! With this purchase, you will enter Valley Restaurant for Arden’s Table as a takeaway picnic to enjoy on our grounds. We will supply you with a container to help yourself to a vibrant array of prepared foods featuring Hudson Valley local produce: salads, vegetable preparations, side dishes, and proteins. This also includes a takeaway dessert! Beverages and additional snacks may be purchased from the concessions tent on the day of your visit. A tote bag, silverware, and cloth napkin are included but must be kindly returned to the concessions tent after enjoying your picnic.

Enjoy dinner at Valley Restaurant prior to your performance at Arden’s Table. Offering a rotating selection of farm-fresh prepared foods, including a vibrant array of Salads, Proteins, Side Dishes, and Desserts, the food will be beautifully presented as a self-serve assortment. Plus, to-go friendly desserts if you’d like to enjoy them under the theatre tent.

To keep the excitement going, Valley Restaurant is open after the Sunday 5:00pm performances for a post-show self-serve spread featuring fresh pizzas, pasta, salads, and dessert. Indulge in a slice of Napoli right in the heart of the Hudson Highlands; this is a night where Italian tradition and artisan craftsmanship blend with the flavors of our local bounty. There will be open seating, so get ready to mix and mingle, and who knows… you might even run into a few of your favorite HVS performers at the bar!

For one week only, we’re transforming Valley Restaurant into the HVS Cabaret for a series of intimate musical performances. Have dinner in the restaurant before the show to make it a perfect summertime night out! Dinner reservations are strongly recommended, as space is strictly limited. Valley Restaurant is featuring a 2-course Prix-Fixe menu starting at $38 per person (plus tax & tip). Additional starter and dessert courses will be offered as a supplement to the base 2-course menu. Beverages will be available for purchase before and after the performance.

Place your order before showtime and enjoy the convenience of picking it up at the Concessions Tent Cubbies during intermission.
Picnics from home are always welcome. We also recommend bringing along picnic blankets, portable camp chairs, coolers, and any other personal items that will make for comfortable picnicking.
These items can be stowed safely near the Tent during the performance and retrieved at the close of the night.
