Supporter Natalie Fishman began spending summers at HVSF in 1988, the year after our founding. As part of our #GivingTuesday Story Share, Natalie shares the impact of our work on her extended family:
I started bringing my son to the Festival when he was 15. He is now 44!
Our annual trip to HVSF at Boscobel continues to this day and now includes numerous friends and relatives. My daughter-in-law joined the group ten years ago and for the last five years we have brought first one, and then both, of my grandsons to the Annual Summer Gala.
We are really looking forward to this coming summer because my oldest grandson, Collin, will be 6 and we hope to have him join us at one of the shows! And of course, we love the entire company, but have a special place in our hearts for Kurt Rhoads and Nance Williamson.
Each summer we try to see at least two, if not three, of HVSF’s productions. It is one of our happiest occasions of each summer!
Would you like to be a part of our #GivingTuesday Story Share? We want to celebrate the ways in which our audience gives inspiration to their own families! If you attend the Festival year after year with your children or grandchildren, write to us about your HVSF summer traditions. We hope to publish as many stories as we can before #GivingTuesday (November 27, 2018) comes to a close.
