Hi there, it’s Davis McCallum, Artistic Director at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival. I’m making this video specifically for you because you purchased an Open Air Flex Pass to our 2020 season. I don’t blame you if you don’t remember but in the spring of 2020 I made another video asking our friends and patrons to step up and buy one of these Flexpasses. I said it was the single best way you could help us get a season on in 2020. And it was a moment of great uncertainty. A really perilous moment for our theater and for theaters everywhere and you were there for us.
As we all know, the 2020 season was ultimately canceled for health and safety reasons. And I said at the time that if that were to be the case, we would just roll these Flexpasses over to the following season. At the time we said the Flexpasses were going to be good for performances in June of 2021, but it turns out here we are on the verge of a 2021 season and we are only planning to have five performances in June. So we’ve decided that the Flexpasses are good for the entire 2021 season.
We just want to say thank you for being there for us in the spring of 2020.
So when you log on to your Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival account the Flexpasses will be there in your wallet and when you put eligible tickets into your wallet they will automatically be applied to your Flexpass.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday of this week but starting today, and for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, there will be a period of exclusive access for folks like yourself who bought these Flexpasses.
We can’t wait to welcome you back to the tent and to say thank you for being there for the theater when we really needed you. We look forward to seeing you there. And below this message, there should be some details that outline the different types of Flexpasses and the eligible tickets that apply in each case.
