Katie joined HVSF in March of 2015. She was previously the General Manager of The Laguna Playhouse in Southern California where she worked on strategic planning, a fiscal turnaround, and major capital improvements. She also served as the Associate Managing Director at Yale Repertory Theatre, Managing Director of Yale Summer Cabaret, and the Managing Director Fellow at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Prior to graduate school, Kate was Associate Manager of Development at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC where she helped execute the successful $10M fundraising campaign for the international festival, Arabesque: Arts of The Arab World. She holds an MFA in theater management from Yale School of Drama and an MBA from Yale School of Management. At Yale, she was the recipient of the Daniel and Helene Sheehan Scholarship and the Morris J. Kaplan Prize for theater management. Kate completed her undergraduate work in English and Theatre Arts at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated summa cum laude. She was a 2006 recipient of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship and now serves as the President of the Truman Scholars Association Board of Directors. Originally from the Boston area, Kate is thrilled about settling in the Hudson Valley.
