Krystal is a writer and climate champion. She currently writes a monthly column, Living Green, for the Highlands Current. Previously she was the Climate Smart Coordinator for the Town of Philipstown. She has lobbied the state and federal government for climate legislation with organizations such as Citizens’ Climate Lobby, The Garden Club of America, and New York Renews. She has served on many boards, including The Town of Philipstown Conservation Board, the advisory board for Constitution Marsh, The Cold Spring Farmers’ Market, Hudson Valley Seed, Slow Food NYC, and served as President of the Garrison PTA. Krystal has a BSc in Nutrition from McGill University, and an MA in Food Studies from New York University. After living in Garrison for 13 years she moved to the Adirondacks with her husband and two children so they can enjoy year-round activities outdoors.
